When you join our team, especially during the big fair events, be prepared for full days that can span up to 12-14 hours of teamwork (depending on what you requested). But don’t worry, you won’t be going it alone! We provide thorough training and will teach you everything you need to know.

“Pupping” at Pronto Pups involves a variety of responsibilities. You might be involved in everything from Pup prepping—getting our famous Pronto Pups ready for cooking—to guest service, where your role would be to ensure every customer’s experience is a good one. You might also learn to do fresh dipping, or hand mashing lemons for our freshly made lemonade, or handling cashier duties.  No two days are the same for a Pupper and if we’re not busy, we’re teaching.  

We understand that your life is full of other commitments and responsibilities, which is why we offer flexible scheduling. You are allowed to select which days and day parts you wish to work, making it easier to balance work with personal life, studies, or other obligations.

At Pronto Pups, we believe in rewarding our team members with not just an excellent base wage, but also with the opportunity to maximize their earnings by signing on for “full time” with no restrictions on overtime worked.  By earning significant overtime, combined with hourly tips, and guaranteed bonuses our teams earn significantly more than most summer job opportunities provide for such a short time commitment.  Our base pay starts at $12 per hour, but with the added benefits, your actual hourly earnings far exceed that.  As a first year Pupper, you are guaranteed a sufficient bonus to achieve a minimum total aggregate earnings of $18 per hour for total hours worked when including earnings for base pay, overtime, tips and bonuses.    As a second year Pupper this guaranteed  minimum hourly earnings amount  increases to $20 per hour average for total hours worked including those same benefits. 

We actively encourage our team to take advantage of overtime opportunities.  With overtime pay at time and a half for any hours worked beyond 40 hours per week, our larger events such as the Western Idaho Fair can provide an opportunity for full-time gross earnings to range from $1,500 to $2,400 or more depending on hours worked and the benefits accrued from tips and bonuses.

All of our team members – including management – are paid hourly, ensuring fairness and transparency across all levels. Tips are pooled and distributed evenly among staff, appearing on your paycheck, so everyone benefits from the collective effort. Importantly, we do not deduct any time taken for meals or breaks, respecting your hard work and the energy you bring to your role.

The average earned hourly salary range, including bonuses, overtime, and tips, is between $18 and $22 per hour. At Pronto Pups, your dedication and hard work are valued and rewarded, ensuring that your job is not only rewarded personally but financially as well.
